I like to tell people I live three lives. Surf sports and athletic competition. Innovative professional career and my entrepreneurial, startup endeavours. That keeps me busy and constantly learning.
In 2019 I came over from NZ to race my first Aussies. It was there I discovered the BOS tent which was displaying the first Tomahawk model out front. I also met Reece for the first time. The Tomahawk seriously intrigued me. I’d never had the privilege of paddling a BOS before, however upon discovering the Tomahawk, I had a very in-depth chat with Reece. I’m unlike a lot of other athletes, in the way that I deeply care about how the equipment and tools that I use are designed, built and articulated. I was curious to understand the improvement from the previous model of BOS ski (which was already highly regarded). Reece was able to take me through everything, from the dedication from himself and the team, to research of best materials, structure, stability, design implementation and hydrodynamics of the Tomahawk. In 2020 I was fortunate enough have have my first BOS Tomahawk ski. I prefer nothing less than a BOS Oceansport surf ski.

Personal Profile
From a young age, I always had a persistent curiosity to understand how things work. I was a builder, an explorer, an ambitious future thinker who wanted to see the world. These ideas stem from my up bringing in New Zealand growing up across the road from Sumner Beach, in Ōtautahi Christchurch. I started with nippers when I was 7 years old. I’ve continued this journey through varying surf clubs as I’ve moved around New Zealand and Australia.
As a kid I played a heap of different sports, (Badminton, Softball, Basketball, Triathlon, Rugby, Cycling, Swimming, Cross Country, Athletics) my favourite being rugby. When asked to put weight on for the sport, I decided that I’d follow my love of the ocean and wanting to be a surf Ironman.
I left home in NZ when I was 17 and moved across the ditch to Australia’s Gold Coast. It was on the GC where I attended Bond University and studied a Bachelors of Business, graduating in 2022. This opportunity allowed me to truly comprehend what the real surf sports scene was like. No longer was I watching from afar. I was training and racing with the professionals of Surf sports whilst also being surrounded by Olympians and other elite athletes.
Currently in 2023, I find myself in Sydney pursuing a dream professional business role, although I still remain truly committed to become a professional Ironman and reach all those ambitious dreams that my younger self set.
