We here at BOS have been fortunate enough to have Ky on our craft since 2015. A very capable and accomplished Ironman, many of his races are based on his phenomenal swimming and body surfing ability. It’s guaranteed to be a more entertaining contest when this X Factor athlete is in the mix. Ky is also a talented author and has dedicated a lot of his time over recent years to his fiction writing. A man of few words, but we at BOS are very proud to have him on our team.

Personal Profile

There’s a primal, brutal, beauty to the ocean. Even on a relatively calm day it’s a challenge, it keeps you on your toes so to speak, you can’t afford to get complacent.

The ocean is this untamed, almost all powerful natural element, it isn’t something you can fight against, or conquer. No matter how skilled you are, no matter how much work you put in, no matter how much you want to dominate it, it will chew you up and spit you out more times than you can come out on top.

You can’t fight the ocean, can’t win against it. But if you stop and sit still, if you open yourself up to the ocean, you’ll hear it, feel it. And maybe, you’ll come to know it, just like speaking a language.

Or maybe you’ll even come to understand it, its brutal force and its gentle flow. And if you do come to understand the ocean, it’s like magic, like stepping into a new world, one you’ll miss when you’re not there, one you’ll go back to again and again for the sheer joy of being immersed within it.

You don’t fight the ocean, you flow with it. You don’t decide where it takes you, the ocean sets your destination. And if you understand the ocean, you’ll always be happy with that destination, and you’ll always know joy in the journey.

But even if you come to understand the ocean, there will always still be surprises, unknowns and uncertainties, and this will be the thing that enraptures you most of all, the simple reality that you can never truly understand the majesty and mystery of the ocean.
