Surf Ski
Outside of training I love to go surfing and downwind paddling to unwind while also keeping the body moving. I am also keen on camping, 4WDing, and movies to unwind after a busy week.
From the age of 15 I have always paddled a BOS surf ski, using one of my surf clubs adjustable Raptors and soon after getting a secondhand Tomahawk and now onto my Nemesis. I have been supported by Reece and his family since 2023 and it’s been nothing short of phenomenal. Reece’s unconditional support is a cut above the rest, no matter what Reece has always been one call away and always willing to help.
Having spent hours on both the flat water and in the surf trying to perfect my craft, I know that when I hop into my BOS on race day it will perform. Racing all around Australia in various conditions and distances my BOS ski has always held up to the test. Whether it be overhead surf, dead flat, or blown out, Reece’s innovation, precision and dedication to his craft gives me the confidence that I am always equipped to perform.
Competing in sprint kayaking has taught me how to feel the water and boat, even after hopping into my Nemesis for the 100th time I am still blown away at not only how fast it is but also how comfy, trustworthy, responsive and efficient it is.
All my best results have come riding a BOS, most notably winning the U17 short course Coolangatta Gold and U17 Single Ski at Aussies.

Personal Profile
Born and bred in Adelaide I began nippers at the age of 8 at West Beach Surf Life Saving Club. I grew up playing all sports from footy to motorbike riding, but it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with surf sports. The mix of fitness, strength, skill and technicality intrigued me.
Events such as the Coolangatta Gold had always been something that I had aspired to race in so a few years ago I decided to stop playing footy and focus on surf. Since then, I haven’t looked back. More recently I’ve begun to pursue sprint kayaking, my love and thorough enjoyment for paddling made it easy to see the benefits in my ski paddling. Now I balance a kayak and surf ironman schedule, loading up on either depending on where the season is at and what races are coming up.
Outside of surf and kayaks I am currently completing year 12. Upon finishing year 12 I am looking to study mechanical engineering on either the Gold Coast or in Adelaide whilst training as a full-time athlete. Some athletes I look up to are Clint Robinson and Ali Day for not only their achievements but also their attitude and what they stand for. As an athlete I am very process driven, I love training and the process of achieving a desired outcome.
